Terms of Use

Effective September 19, 2026

The one thing that matters most: MyPayperiod produces estimates. It is not payroll software, and it is not tax, legal or financial advice. Your employer's payroll system is the authority on what you get paid. Always check the figures here against your actual pay stub before relying on them for anything that matters.

These terms are an agreement between you and MyPayperiod ("we", "us"). By using the app you agree to them. If you do not, please don't use it.

1. What MyPayperiod is

MyPayperiod is a calculator and tracker. You enter your pay rates, hours, shifts, overtime, deductions and filing details, and it estimates gross pay, withholding and take-home pay, then keeps a history of your pay periods.

2. What MyPayperiod is not

3. Accuracy

We work hard to keep the federal and state tax logic correct and current, and we correct errors as soon as we learn about them. Even so, estimates will sometimes differ from your actual paycheck. Common reasons include employer-specific deductions and benefits, local or municipal taxes, wage garnishments, year-to-date withholding effects, mid-year rate changes, retroactive pay, and payroll rules unique to your employer.

You are responsible for verifying any figure before acting on it. If you find a result that looks wrong, please tell us — those reports are the main way the calculations improve.

4. Your account and your data

5. Acceptable use

Use MyPayperiod for your own pay tracking. Please do not attempt to break into it, disrupt it for others, scrape it at scale, resell access to it, or use it for anything unlawful.

6. Cost and availability

MyPayperiod is currently free. If paid features are ever introduced, existing functionality that you already rely on will not be taken away without notice. The service is provided as-is and may be changed, interrupted or discontinued at any time — if it is ever shut down, we will give account holders reasonable notice and a way to export their data.

7. Ownership

The app, its design, its name and its code belong to us. These terms give you permission to use the app, not to copy or redistribute it.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

MyPayperiod is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that its calculations will match your actual pay.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any lost income, lost data, or financial decisions made in reliance on the app's estimates. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the greater of the amount you have paid us in the past twelve months or twenty-five U.S. dollars.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

10. Termination

You may stop using the app and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end access for anyone who violates these terms or uses the service in a way that harms it or its users.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Illinois, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring it elsewhere.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the app changes. The effective date above will be updated, and material changes will be announced to account holders by email. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the revised terms.
